FREE Weekly Mindfulness Meditation Classes

These FREE weekly classes allow the ease and flexibility of dropping into a meditation class when you are able to attend. Rather than all the classes being built around a unifying theme, each class is thematic in and of itself. Sample topics that might be covered in a drop-in class include:

  • The Art of Meditation Practice

  • Hinderances to Establishing a Meditation Practice

  • The Thinking Mind

  • Self-compassion and RAIN

  • Cultivating Happiness and Equanimity

  • Letting Go of Judgment and Blame

  • Neuroplasticity and Rewiring the Brain

  • Self Forgiveness and Forgiveness of Others

  • Working with Pain and Discomfort

  • Trauma and Meditation

  • Wise Speech

  • Wise Action

Weekly classes start Monday Aug 5th at 7pm at Jazzercise Fitness Center, 1119 Route 3 N, Suite 208, Gambrills, MD 21054. Space is limited so pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Class lasts 60-75 minutes.

Each class includes

  • A brief arriving meditation

  • Short check-in with students about their practice, questions, etc.

  • A talk/teaching about the week’s topic

  • A longer sitting, standing, walking, or movement meditation

  • Brief reflection

  • Question and Response
