If you are anything like me, being a parent feels like the most important and yet the most difficult job you will ever have in your life! I’ve been a parent for nearly 25 years and I spent many (okay, most!) of those years feeling like I was failing in so many ways. Feeling like a failure negatively impacted my parenting and my kids struggled because of it. All of that changed when I started becoming more aware of how my internal expectations, judgments, feelings, and emotions were impacting me. When I learned to relate to myself with acceptance, kindness, and compassion, my anxiety decreased, I trusted myself more, I became more patient, held better boundaries, and I could tolerate my kids’ failings, unhappiness, and struggles better. This workshop provides the foundation to help you do the same!
Class begins on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 EDT and meets weekly on Tuesdays through November 5. Class will meet on Zoom from 6:00pm to 7:30pm EDT. Each class will start with a 5-minute opening meditation, a brief check-in, an informational and inspirational talk about the week’s theme, a 15-20 minute guided meditation, interactive exercises, and time for Q&A. All classes will be recorded, so if you cannot attend a session, you will have access to the class recording, as each class builds on the previous classes. I will also send out a weekly email after each class that recaps the teachings from the week and provides links to guided meditations and other resources to support your practice at home. You will have access to all the recorded sessions for life after the class ends.
